Empathize
We conduct research to develop our knowledge on what our users say, do, think and feel. We put ourselves in their shoes and walk a mile in them.
Define
We combine all our research and observe where our users’ problems exist. We highlight opportunities for innovation by pinpointing our users’ needs.
After identifying the problem, we then explore various solutions that we believe may solve the problem at hand.
Ideate
We brainstorm a wide range of crazy and creative ideas that address the unmet user needs that were identified in the define phase. We give ourselves total freedom, no idea is too far-fetched and quantity supersedes quality.
Prototype
We build real, tactile representations of a subset of our ideas. The goal is to understand which components of our ideas work. During this stage, we start to weigh up the impact vs. the feasibility of our ideas through feedback of our prototypes.
We place our products in the hands of real users in real situations, in order to evaluate the effectiveness of our solution. If it hasn’t been tested, it cannot be trusted.
Test
We deliver feedback by returning to our users. We ask ourselves, “Does this solution meet our users’ needs?”, “Has this solution improved how our users say, do, think and feel?” and “Has this solution improved how our users do their tasks?”
